Eight Years Ago, Dec. 1999 - Pat became Pres. of SNR

Yes, it has been seven years, and I wonder if I am doing the job. Attendance has been very low, possibly due to the weather. I hope that this is not the result of anything I have done, the low attendance not the weather. If you have any suggestions as to what I can do or WHAT I SHOULD STOP DOING, I would be glad to hear from you and will take no offense.

The idea of programs and outings was mentioned. Programs are a problem, the King of Prussia group had their annual vendors night in November and only one vendor showed up of the six that had promised to come. Outings on meeting nights present a dual problem of cost, the meeting room must be paid for, and getting enough member who want to go somewhere else.

I am open to sugestions.

C H R I S T M A S !

Yes, the party is here, this Saturday Dec. 9. The changing room should be available from about 2:00 P.M. (Becky will be there or out doing the town). The dinner orders will be taken around 7:00 PM and we hope to have dinner at eight. (That sounds like an old movie title)

Alice and Judy

Alice called me today to tell me that Judy has cancer. The outlook is not good as the cancer is very advanced. They would welcome emails or phone calls. You could even go for a visit, but call for directions first as it is a long drive and a bit out of the way.

Cards would be welcome.

CHI DELTA MU

The December CDM meeting will be there Holiday Party. Unfortunately it is the same night as our party so I can not attend. I hope that all have a wonderful time.

At the November meeting they tried something different, Boston Market. I don't know if we would want to try this, but it was different. The order was called in and about an hour later we went to pick up the food. We forgot to order pies, which were frozen, so off to PathMark. On the way we tried a Seven Eleven, some of the girls were a bit afraid of the neighborhood, so Pat went in alone. More guts than brains. Maybe I am blond under all of the grey.

A Doctor in the Community

Her name is Lisa O'Connor. The practice is Healthy Transitions, L.L.C., 1390 Valley Rd., Suite 1E, Stirling, NJ, 07980. 908-647-1688

Dinner and a Movie

The next "Dinner and a Movie" would be in December. If anyone is interested and can fit in either Dec. 23 or Dec. 30. Contact Pat. If there is a good movie, I might go anyway, sitting home is no fun.

Girls Night Out

Alice is continuing the "Girls Night Out". Anyone wishing information about future NIGHT OUT events and dates should contact Alice.

Weekend in Pennsylvania

Anyone wishing to spend a weekend with Alice in Pennsylvania contact Alice at her new home.

HUMOR ?

You all know of Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, but do you know about Bruce the brown-nosed reindeer.

He could run just as fast as Rudolph, but had trouble stopping.

Then there is the story of the angel on top of the Christmas tree.

One year Santa was getting ready for his ride. He had on a brand-new suit with the whitest white and reddest red and the shiniest black leather. When he walked out to the sleigh, he asked the elves if all was ready. His head elf said that Donner was a bit under the weather, so Santa went up to ask Donner if he was OK.

Well Donner had been drinking with the boys and just a Santa got there, it all came up, all over Santa. Back to the house to shower and change to next best suit.

Back to the sleigh, and Donner. "Hi Don, feeling any better?" Repeat performance, second suit ruined. Back to the house.

OK, here we go again, but this time Santa stays away from Donner nad goes to Blitzen. "Hi Blitz, Donner is not well, so you will have to pull a bit harder and watch him." Blitzen got blitzed at the same party. Here goes the Three-peat.

Last good suit ruined, Santa will have to wear an old patched suit, is he ever mad. ust then a little angel appears with a Christmas Tree, "Santa, what should I do with this tree?"
