REMINDER - Regular meeting July 26

JULY 5 Picnic

Well, its over for another year. The picnic was great. The food was great. The help was more than great. Alice and Joyce got the tent and the grill. I don't know just how or who set it up. Leah and Rachel did the grill. Patty and Robin work themselves very hard in the kitchen with help from some others. In all there were about 35 people at the picnic.

Many thanks to Cindy, Kristy, Joyce and All who helped set up, take down and clean up after.

On Sunday, Alice was at church and expressed our thanks to all for the use of the church property.

Dinner and a Movie, Again?

With no meeting in June, Pat and a few of the girls did the dinner and a movie once more. The dinner was at a local restaurant and the movie was nearby. We saw the Italian Job and I for one liked it. After dinner we went back to the restaurant for coffee and cake.

We may do this again in August on Labor Day weekend.

PRIDE PARADE

Not to be left out, Pat went to Allentown, PA for their Gay Pride Parade. Along with some of the girls from Lehigh Valley Renaissance, Pat rode in the parade waving at the crowds and handing out literature for one of the open churches in Allentown. It was fun, but the mud in the park at the end was a real mess.

Girls Night Out

Anyone wishing information about future NIGHT OUT events and dates should contact Alice.

Renaissance

With the summer upon us, our friends at Washington's Crossing are about to have elections for officers. This is very important as they have lost some officers this year. If you are a member of this group, please be at their August meeting to vote and offer to help if you can.

TIME TO
Renew Membership Cards

If you do not have yours, get it from Robin at the next meeting.

HELP! WITH NEWSLETTER

For those who know me, this might come as a surprise, but I could use some help with articles for the newsletter. Simply email anything to me that might be of interest. Please keep it to about one half of a page as I do not have the time to edit and I can not put long articles in the newsletter.

ANY IDEAS????

Anyone have an idea for a meeting? October will be the Halloween Party and Magic Show and Dec. is the Christmas Party.

August, September and November are open. If you have an idea, please give it to me. If you know of someone who can/will give a program, tell me. We might try a movie night with a TV and VCR. I have some good tapes that I could bring. I have had an offer for a program on nail care. The person who offered said it would be on how to work a job all week and still have nice nails for the weekend.
