Picnic 2008
Once again, the weather was perfect! Well, except for the extreme heat and humidity. But that was lessened by a brief shower lasting only for an hour or two - maybe three. The gentle breezes only toppled the cooking shelter once.
As always, Leah flipped burgers with great savoir faire, and this year Stacy cooked a magnigficent bird (or was it the other way around).

However, as you can see, our spirits were by no means dampened, and as it turned out, bathing suits were the best choice. Even without a pool, we all managed to get very wet. |
By dusk, the air had cooled and fog rolled in. The evening was like a healthy dog's nose; cool and moist.

Indoors was like a different planet. It was cool and dry, with plenty to eat, where the less-than-adventurous ladies had remained comfortable and dry throughout the day. |
